I had the pleasure of a special date night with my Mini BFF last night for a pre-birthday treat. After all turning 8 is a pretty special!

We went to the movie theater at one of Nassau’s newest boutique hotels on the western end of the island. The Island House is absolutely stunning, it is a luxury boutique hotel  that has been said to merge the height of contemporary luxury with the understated elegance of authentic island life. On site they have a spa, many fitness options, a cafe, 2 top class restaurants and a cinema. The cinema is hands down the nicest on the island.

The movie was BFG – Big Friendly Giant which was great, enjoyed by adults and children, great family movie. I wont go into to much detail about the movie as i don’t want to spoil it for those who may not have seen it.

SNACKS!!!! Of course we had to pop in to the cafe for a coffee to enjoy during the movie, my latte was great and the little miss enjoyed her hot chocolate and cookie. Definitely would have gone for wine if it has been an adult night, they have a great sommelier on staff that bring is fabulous wines. The BEST thing ever was the popcorn selection!! No overly artificial buttered, over salted stale popcorn here, NOPE! They offer a selection of 479 Degrees Popcorn both sweet and savory the flavors are so exciting that it is VERY hard to choose one flavor. We went with the white cheddar and black truffle (40 cals per cup) which we were extremely happy with.Great flavor nice and fresh and all in all not that bad for you, talk about a win win situation. I can’t wait to go back and try the Toasted Coconut Caramel and the Olive Oil and Sea Salt! They are available for order online from Amazon – Amazon – 479 Degree White Cheddar Truffle. Their other snack options were also very tempting from nuts, to chocolate covered cranberries, lindt chocolate bars.

Try them out, i don’t think you will be disappointed.
